Sony changed the car audio world several times over the years. Yet, introducing the CD changer might be the company's biggest achievement.

The first car with a multi-track CD changer was the BMW 6-Series in 1986. It had a remote-controlled disc changer in the trunk, connected to the head unit, and could hold up to 10 discs. In the mid-80s, the Sony Discjockey felt like something out of a sci-fi movie.
