It's easy to forget how much tires have evolved over the years. Run-flat tires, which can keep you going even after a puncture, didn't exist 40 years ago. Back then, tires were quite basic. They offered a bit of grip, but only in perfect weather conditions.

All-season tires or those with speed ratings near 200 miles per hour were unheard of in the past. Tire manufacturers definitely deserve more recognition for their advancements!
