How to Spend a High-Quality Weekend? 5 Easy and Non-tiring Ways to Recharge Yourself!

1. Create a Sense of Detachment

Every week, let yourself get away from the familiar environment and state and do something new. For example: change the park to run, chat with strangers about different topics, explore the surrounding areas where you live, and find some good places that you have never discovered...

Break the routine events and change the space occasionally to give the brain a new and stimulating experience and bring a novel sense of pleasure. Try walking on the road without looking at your phone, wearing headphones to listen to your favorite music, looking at the surrounding scenery, and observing all kinds of people. Sometimes deliberately walking on some uncommon paths will give you a sense of surprise.

If you can't detach yourself on your commute, then let yourself feel the nature and the fireworks of the world on the weekend!

2. Tidy up Your Room

There is a physical law called "entropy increase", which means that everything in the universe will spontaneously develop from order to disorder. The room will accumulate more and more dust, the wardrobe will become more and more messy, things will become old and broken... Everything that is not deliberately intervened will gradually move towards chaos.

So we have to do "entropy reduction", that is, to reduce this chaos and restore it to order. Take advantage of the weekend to do a big cleanup of the room, wash and dry the sheets and quilts, and change into a new four-piece suit. Arrange the items in the room neatly according to your favorite positions, clean out the yellowed T-shirts and clothes that have not been worn since they were bought, and finally pack up all the garbage and throw them away...

It is estimated that it will take about 40 minutes to do this set of smooth movements. When you are proficient in it, you can simplify it a lot, such as tidying up the wardrobe once a month. But don't underestimate the role of these 40 minutes, it will bring you in a good mood for a long time. The house will look very clean, bright, and spacious after being tidy, and the thoughts in your head will also be like being sorted out, which is particularly comfortable.

3. Exercise

If you think that exercise is a difficult thing that requires perseverance, then you are likely to not stick to it. We can find a way to make ourselves fall in love with exercise so that exercise is no longer a "must do" thing, but an "uncomfortable if you don't do it" thing.

If you like taking pictures and posting them on social media, then buy yourself a beautiful set of sportswear to wear. If you like to appreciate beautiful scenery, then go hiking. If you like socializing, then sign up for team sports, such as Frisbee...

Running, playing ball, swimming, yoga, dancing, Frisbee... There are so many kinds of sports, how many have you tried? Have you ever thought that there are actually some factors that you like in these sports, and you may not like them because you have never been exposed to them and don’t understand them?

We can actually "graft" our love for different things onto sports. When you get positive feedback mentally, you can offset the physical fatigue brought by exercise.

4. Keep Input

In addition to the body, our brain also needs to be charged, and it is important to keep learning continuously. The input of knowledge and information does not only refer to reading books, you can also listen to audio and watch videos... As long as it is truly valuable content, find a form you like.

There are also some rules for when to input what knowledge:

• When your energy state is relatively low, you can go for a wide range of reading, do something that can calm you down, or increase your knowledge. For example, you can read psychology books, watch documentaries, and watch classic movies.

• When your energy state is very high, you should make full use of it and hurry to do things related to your business. For example, if you are doing self-media, you need to learn self-media-related courses, read related books, give speeches, learn about the industry, learn and communicate with excellent peers, etc. Assign different input tasks to yourself in different states.

5. List of tasks

To maximize your motivation, a task list is very important. Try using the memo tool on your phone. One reason is that it is easy to forget if you remember it with your brain, and the other is that it is really fulfilling to delete the things on the list one by one after completing them!

• Life: Including trivial matters such as receiving express delivery, a list of books to read on weekends, small goals to be completed in the near future, etc.

• Work: All the work to be completed is listed here in order of urgency

• 2024 flag: This is what I give myself to cheer myself up. I have to look through it every day. When I waste time on some unimportant things, this will remind me that there are more important things to complete.

You can also try to use a memo to list all your to-do items in different categories. You don’t need to download any software, because most of the functions are complicated and can’t be used. A memo that comes with a mobile phone is enough.

In general, you must relax on weekends, but don't be a “slacker”. We can make some plans in a scientific and efficient way to keep our brains charged.

There are 52 weekends and 104 days a year, plus holidays, which means that one-third of our time is on vacation! Let’s make use of this time and have a high-quality and growth-oriented weekend!
