The 21st century has provided fans with what many believe to be the golden age of television, with numerous great shows. Some villains even became iconic characters of all time. A good villain can add drama, mystery and suspense to stories, and the same goes for a TV show.

NO.10 Professor Moriarty

From the British drama "Sherlock"; played by Andrew Scott

Moriarty was the ultimate villain in Conan Doyle's "Holmes" novel series, and in "Sherlock", he is definitely the top guy of the show's high-IQ criminals.

NO.9 Ramsay Bolton

From the American TV series "Game of Thrones"; played by Iwan Ryan

A well-known villain and sadist in Game of Thrones. The bastard used his dog to kill his step mother and infant half-brother. Soon after he was killed by his own dog after losing the battle of Winterfell.

NO.8 Crowley

From the American TV series "Supernatural"; played by Mark Shepard

With the broadcast of "Supernatural", Crowley's role has gradually been discovered in depth. From the pure bad at the beginning, to showing humanity in him later, and then to the ambiguous relationship with the Winchester brothers, all of these make this character vivid and charming.

NO.7 Tywin Lannister

From the American TV series: "Game of Thrones"; played by Charles Dance

To be honest, the character of Tywin is more a hero than a villain, except for his way of death. If you have read the original "A Song of Ice and Fire", you will know Tywin's ending is so closely related to the Mad King.

NO.6 The Governor

From the American TV series: "The Walking Dead"; played by David Morrissey

The Governor is one of the best characters in The Walking Dead. He is not a good person, as he can kill anyone for himself; but he is not a bad person either, because he has supported a large number of people in hard times, and has the most sincere love for his family. We can only say that he is a selfish person. In fact, there are many such people in our life, but the drama uses a specific environment to amplify the selfishness of this character.

NO.5 Gustavo 'Gus' Fring

From the American drama "Breaking Bad"; played by Giancarlo Esposito

Chicken Man can be the most discussed character in "Breaking Bad" except for Walter White. As Walter White's opponent, he is cautious, perfect, strong in control but knowledgeable and responsible, a very good role. Without him, there would be no Walter White.

NO.4 Montgomery Burns (Mr. Burns)

From the cartoon: "The Simpsons"; voiced by Chris Latta

A thin, greedy capitalist with a brain full of conspiracy and evil, and also Simpson's boss. Already 104 years old, greedy, cunning, hypocritical, he has all the shortcomings you can imagine.

NO.3 Cersei Lannister

From the American TV series: "Game of Thrones"; played by Lena Headey

The vicious image of this character has become so popular, and she also ranks in the top ten in another list called "Which character do you want to kill most in Game of Thrones".

NO.2 The Joker

From: DC Animated movies

The joker does not refer to a specific one, but refers to the role of all the jokers that appeared in DC cartoons. The role of the clown takes the anti-social personality to the extreme: there is no reason, I am bad!

From the American TV series: "Game of Thrones"; played by Jack Gleason

Many fans agree that Joffrey Baratheon is one of the worst. You may have discovered that the characters in "Game of Thrones" are ranked relatively high in this list, so it is not surprising that King Joffrey successfully reached the top.
