Pranks in the office can be a fun way to get rid of the dullness, as long as everyone involved is aware of the rules. Whether you are planning the classic pranks or some more creative ones, it's important to be careful not to go too far. After all, if your colleagues were really bothered or upset with the unpleasant pranks, they may be inclined to file a complaint with HR, which is not great from a career standpoint. 1. Dysfunctional Keyboard

This keyboard trick is absolutely one of the simplest but effective office pranks. The keys on the computer keyboard are easy to remove and install. When your colleague leave his/her seat, you can unplug and rearrange the keyboard. Or you can buy a pre-hacked keyboard to replace it, which can be reused for many times.

2. Not-So-Tasty Oreo

One of the most popular toothpaste pranks is to put a small amount of toothpaste in an Oreo cookie. You can remove the the creamy filling, apply some toothpaste, and enjoy your unsuspecting victim's funny reaction. This prank is easy to do and can be hilarious, especially if you use a toothpaste like mint or strawberry.

3. Great Balloon Debacle

Covering the workspace of your coworkers is actually a lovely and memorable prank. However, you will need helpers or pumps to finish this task since it's impossible to blow up all the balloons by your own. Shove balloons as many as possible into the office or cubicle so they can make for quite the sight.

4. Convert Everything to Cardboard

If you have a pile of old paper boxes, it’s better to use them for a prank instead of throwing them into the trash can. This will be a pleasant manual experience: cut the boxed into pieces with the same shape as the articles on your colleague's desk, draw some details, and stick them together with adhesive tape or glue.

5. Position a Peeping Tom

It's a piece of cake to find scary masks and costumes in Halloween stores. If there is a glass window on the door of your office, you can fix a skeleton, a clown, or anything else you think is scary on it and be ready to see your colleague's funny action.

6. Upside Down Day

In addition to the most commonly used “Ctrl+C” and “Ctrl+V”, there are also many less known shortcut keys. For example, you can use the code "Ctrl+Alt+↓" to reverse the screen of your coworker's computer. After getting laughter from a successful prank, be sure to correct it using “Ctrl + Alt + ↑”.

7. Hidden Speaker Madness

The developing technology has brought new inspiration to office pranks. Connect a wireless Bluetooth speaker to your phone and hide it in your coworker's drawer, then play sounds such as cat meows, baby cries, or some random noises through the speaker. It would be hilarious that everyone except prankee pretend not to hear anything.

8. Install an Attack Insect

If your child has a realistic insect toy, you can use it for a simple office prank. Tie the fake bug with a thin thread such as fishing line, and glue the other end of the thread to the inside of the cabinet door. When your coworker open the cabinet door, the bug toy will immediately bounce on him/her.

9. Mouse Madness

Taping a small piece of paper on the bottom of the mouse is one of the interesting and easy pranks. You can write a note or draw memes on it, so your coworker will see it when he/she tries to figure out what happened.

10. The Drawer Discovery

This is definitely an interesting way to play tricks on colleagues! Take out the things in your colleague's drawer and replace them with small items such as confetti, nuts, candy, etc.
