Donald Trump makes headlines almost every day, but he's never far from controversy. So, how did he grow into who he is today? Here are some old photos of Trump's past and let’s see how he's changed over the years.

1. Siblings

Trump's father got into real estate at the age of 15 and founded E. Trump & Son in 1923. In 1936 he married Mary Anne MacLeod. They have five children together. Pictured (left to right): Donald, his older brother Fred Jr., his older sister Elizabeth, his older sister Marianne and his younger brother Robert.

2. Trump In The New York Military Academy

Trump has been passionate about Manhattan since he was a child. As a child, he often traveled to Manhattan without asking his parents. As punishment, he was sent to the New York Military Academy, a private boarding school in Cornwall, New York. He was 13 at the time, still in eighth grade.

3. The boy who loves sports

When studying at the New York Military Academy, Trump was actually a sturdy 6 foot, 2 inches tall. He joined the varsity baseball team (pictured) and took up football, tennis, squash and golf. Now decades later, Trump still loves golfing.

4. Wharton Grad!

Trump graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. The picture shows Trump's graduation photo with his father. Three years after graduating from Wharton, Trump took over his father's company, E. Trump & Son, and eventually renamed it the Trump Organization.

5. Growing Business

In the photo above, Trump proposes a convention center in New York City. Although he lost the bid, Trump continued to amass huge fortunes throughout the 1980s. In 1989, he earned a spot on Forbes' list of billionaires.

6. Marriage To Ivana Zelníčková

The 1970s and 1980s were lucky times for Trump: his business grew and Trump found love. In 1977, Trump married Czech model Ivana Zelnikova. The couple had a great time and had three children, but divorced in 1992 after Trump had an affair with actress Marla Maples.

7. The Art of the Deal

In 1988, Trump decided to donate all proceeds from his famous book, The Art of the Deal, and established the Donald J. Trump Foundation.
